-i am 16 years old and i live in california. i do not have my permit but i took the online course. i want to get my permit soon but i have heard that i need to take a behind the wheel class. other people have told me that they just drove with their parents and didnt take the driving class. which is true? do i need to take the class or can i just drive with my parents?
thanxI'm 16 too and live in California and am taking drivers ed which is mandatory. My teacher said that you have to take a driving trainers course and have 50 hours of driving practice. All your parents have to say is that you have completed 50 hours and they can't prove you didn't but I do believe you have to take a driving course.
