-No - your car insurance does not include anything allowing you to use a different vehicle. You will not be covered in a car type van for example neither.If you're fully comp on your own car then quite possibly (provided you have the corrrect licence), but it's always a good idea to call your insurer to clarify. Every insurer will be different.



Generally your insurance certificate will tell you, under the section that says whether you can drive other vehicles. Some insurers will cover you to drive other cars only, some will cover you to ride a motorbike not belonging to you too. This extension to your policy will most likely be meant for emergencies, so get that clarified too.



It's best to be just named on his policy though.

Drivers License requirements for New mexico?

-I'm from texas and will be moving right outside of texas to Hobbs new mexico. I'm 16, and just finished my driving classes, and already received my Learners license (permit), I was wondering what I would have to do to get a New mexico license, and if there was any possible way to get it before my 6 month of having my permit was over, because while living there I need to get myself and family to school, plus me to work.

Do you think i'll be ready for my license by August?

-okay so i got my permit in the begging of September 2010. i took drivers ed 1st semester of school so from sep-jan i drove every other week with my instructor and then probably every weekend for at least 30minutes with my mom. then second semester started and i wasn't in drivers ed any longer. my classes got tougher and most of my friends had their license so i stopped driving. we need 50hours in order to take the road test and i got about 15/20 hours but that was all from first semester. now its summer and i really want my license. plus my mom is buying a new car so i'll have her old one to drive to school but i need my license for that otherwise i have to walk home. i was planning on taking the test maybe early august. i live 2miles from the school so its not even a hard drive but im still nervous of busy roads. The reason i ask this is because last night was the first time i drove in 5months and i still did the basics well but my confidence isn't there and neither is my parking. i heard we have to up or downhill park on the drivers test so im gonna work on that next drive out.



do you think driving to my friends houses/stores a few times a week and then driving for an hour or so each weekend with my mom will prepare me enough for the test?You'll have to start practising now and you'll need at least 3 hours a day over the weekend with time during the week to reach you 50 hours by August. If you do all that driving, then yes you will be ready.

I have a full uk driving licence can i drive a 50cc moped?

-I passed my car test in 2010 im 20 years old and want to drive a bike, will i need to pass any other tests? Would i have to have L plates? If i dont need a bike licence to drive a moped whats the highest cc i can drive without one? Any information will help.

Driving/permit 9 months at 17?

-Okay so i'm 17 and i got my permit on April-7-2011 and they say I have to have my permit for at least 9 months before i get my license.

Today i finished traffic " where a teacher takes some students to drive in the road" and I did good.

They told me to go online 2 get a blue slip but I have to wait 2-4 weeks.

So 9 months will pass in January and I don't wanna wait til then.

So my question is, can i get my license without having my permit for 9 months.

Or if there is any details I should know ill be thankful. =)I don't think they can deny you a license if your are the proper age it is 16 where I live and when I take the course I can go from the course to the DMV and get my license but I live in louisiana and it differs from state to state

-What state do you live in? It varies.It depends on the state. I live in VA and you have to hold a permit for 8 months. And test and get a license at 16 3 months. Or if ur 18 or 19 you only have to hold a permit for 30days. Plus if ur under 18 u got to finish a course of drivers ed. But this is VA. It depends what state ur in. Look on the dmv website for ur state.

-If i buy a car in Virginia with which will be registered in Virginia with Virginia tags, can i drive it in Maryland with my Maryland drkvers licence? because im about to get my licence but im not 18 so my mother in Virginia has to buy my car. i just want to know if it mattersShould be no problem, but you might want to carry with you some sort of notarized letter from your mother that shows you have permission to drive a car that is legally hers.



Don't get any speeding tickets or parking tickets. The former will mess up your life, the latter probably your mother's. For a few years, anyway, drive like your grandmother.
