How long do i have to wait to claim a car that is on my property?

-My dad doesn't know how to use the internet so i am doing this for him:



My mom; his wife left us and her car is here, there is no insurance on it because my dad took his name off of it, how long does my grandpa ( the owner of the property) have to wait to claim the car? Thanks :)
