-I received a speeding ticket today. First one since 2003. I was driving a vehicle thats registered and insured in his name but I on his insurance as a listed driver. Would this ticket affect his insurance premium?Give this a try. If your state offers a version of "Traffic Violators School" request it. In some states you can do so using the paperwork the court will send you, and in others you must appear in court and request it. Once you complete the class send/bring the "Certificate of Completion" to the court the ticket will be dismissed. The insurance carrier will never know about it. If you choose this option you MUST request school BEFORE you pay the ticket, or plead Guilty. Once points go on your record only the passage of time can remove them.
"Thank You" for your service to the country. My family and I appreciate all you in the military do to keep us all safe.IT depends on his insurance company, my insurance policy went up three years in a row and I have no tickets. So about all you can do is wait until the policy expires and the renewal comes, Insurance companies do not always check credit history or driving records every policy, so you never know what is going to happen. It costs the company a lot of money to check every one so they only do a percentage of customers every year.
if your saying the insurance was his and you were listed as a driver it most likely will, if you have your own insurance and pay for it seperatley then it will affect yours,
