Is it legal to get a car, bike quote just to find the price ?

-im trying to fill out a thing on the internet to get a motorbike quote, although im not intending to purchase the bike or get insurance.



they ask for the number plate registration of the vehicle so can i Just type it in off a bike i like on ebay without them finding out ?Nothing to stop you doing it. Not illegal. Some sites give you the option of saying you have not bought the vehicle in question yet.
Of course it's legal, all you're doing is asking for a computer-generated quote. Ask 100 times if you want.
You can try leaving it blank. Surely they understand that people price insurance before choosing a car.
Everybody shops around to get the best quote. Nothing is wrong with that. Just do not accept the first quote you get.
